Demanding Attention

Many things during the day require focus, time and energy. Many people expect some of each from me every day.

The river is no exception. Although it is not deep, nor swift, if I do not give it the respect it is due, the results could be very unpleasant. It demands my attention in a way more direct and forceful than any boss. The rewards, though are spectacular. From the feather that fell off the eagles wing, to the curious dance of mayflies in September, there is so much to see when one pays attention to what is truly important.
